Changes directly visible from Vista to 7 migration, one of them is the taskbar with a minimalist style dock with all windows applications combined in one button, and only show the icon.
If not familiar with this view and want to return to the Vista taskbar, you can use the following trick:
1. Right click on empty area on the taskbar, and select Properties from the context menu.
2. You will go to the next window, select Never Combine the dropdown menu of the taskbar buttons.
3. Check the checkbox to use small icons option.
4. Make a right click on the program icon contained in the taskbar, and select Unpin this program from the taskbar.
5. To add the Quick Launch, right-click the Taskbar and choose Toolbars - New Toolbar.
6. Type the following location into the location field:
%appdata%\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch
Click Select Folder.
7. Once the Quick Launch appears, right-click this section, and do uncheck the Show Text and Show Title. Make sure the taskbar is not located in the lock condition.
8. Drag this section to the left, then right-click, and select Lock The Taskbar.
9. Your taskbar now look like Windows Vista.
