Easy To Making Gel Button with Fireworks

Many kind of button in the Internet. We can make the button with Photoshop, Button Maker and many more. This time I will show you To Make Gel Button with my favorite software, Adobe Fireworks (in this tutorial I using Adobe Fireworks CS5 version). With Rectangle Tool for the objects, Gradient type and Linear as the color and the transparent color, we already make Gel Button with any color. But, follow this tutorial with concentration, because if you make 1 mistakes in every steps, your button makes you not satisfied, so follow this instruction step by step. Ready?

1. Open your Adobe Fireworks.

2. Create a New Document with Transparent Background, for the size, it’s yours.

3. With Rectangle Tool, make button object.

4. On the Properties panel, find Roundness, change to 100 px.

5. The Button still selected, on the Properties panel, choose Solid > Gradient > Linear.

After that, click Color box.

See 2 Red circle, click each point and change to other color, make it from light yellow on first point and dark yellow on second point.

6. Copy and paste the button, make sure after you paste the button still selected, don’t move to anywhere. The Button still selected, click Color box, on the first Point (see the Red circle) change Opacity to 0.

7. After that, click second point (see the Red circle) and change the color to white.

8. Now see the Red circle again, click that Point, move from Bottom button to Up button, or you can Rotate it. (See the pictures carefully)

9. Then, see the Blue circle, click that point and move about 2 block from Background. (See the pictures carefully)

10. Now, it’s time to give the Button Blur effects. Copy and Paste the button (not the Transparent button), make sure button still selected, after that, choose Filters > Blur > Gaussian Blur.

When you choose Gaussian Blur, will shows Dialog box, just click Ok.

And change Blur Radius to 3.1 or more.

11. If nothing steps missing, we can see the result now, and you can try other color.
